We are seeking a motivated Industrial Maintenance Apprentice to join our maintenance team in Slidell, Louisiana. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their skills in industrial maintenance while working alongside experienced technicians. The apprentice will assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production and facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery.
+ Support troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
+ Perform routine inspections and equipment maintenance tasks.
+ Follow all safety procedures, policies, and company standards.
+ Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
+ Keep work areas clean and organized.
+ Work closely with maintenance technicians and supervisors to develop technical skills.
+ Participate in training programs and hands-on learning opportunities.
Qualifications
+ Minimum 1 year of maintenance, mechanical, or related experience required.
+ Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
+ Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
+ Willingness to learn industrial maintenance processes and equipment.
+ Ability to read and follow work instructions, manuals, and safety procedures.
+ Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance record.
Requirements
+ Ability to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, climbing, and kneeling.
+ Must be open to working any shift , including days, nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Slidell, LA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.70 - $26.70/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
