Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a growing 24/7 manufacturing operation in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial production equipment while responding quickly to breakdowns and minimizing manufacturing downtime.
This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position requiring strong experience with hydraulics, electrical systems up to 480V, motors, controls, and manufacturing machinery.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Maintenance Technician who can diagnose problems efficiently, work independently during equipment breakdowns, and safely perform repairs in a fast-paced production environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous industrial maintenance experience required
Strong hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V
Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial motors
Experience working with machine controls and manufacturing equipment
Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities
Ability to diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs
Experience performing reactive and preventive maintenance
Ability to safely use hand and power tools
Ability to work mandatory overtime
Comfortable working a rotating 12-hour schedule
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
Must be comfortable working at heights
Strong commitment to industrial and electrical safety
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Troubleshoot industrial manufacturing equipment
Respond to production equipment breakdowns
Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures
Complete repairs efficiently to minimize production downtime
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V
Repair and replace motors and related components
Troubleshoot machine controls
Repair heater bands and related production equipment
Identify worn, damaged, or failing components
Complete preventive maintenance activities as assigned
Test repaired equipment before returning it to production
Communicate recurring equipment concerns to appropriate personnel
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Operate forklifts when required and authorized
Climb silos and access elevated equipment when required
Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas
Follow all company safety and maintenance procedures
Perform additional industrial maintenance duties as assigned
Electrical Maintenance Responsibilities
Candidates should have hands-on experience troubleshooting and working around:
480V electrical systems
Industrial motors
Machine controls
Heater bands
Production equipment
Electrical components
Wiring and connections
Other industrial electrical systems
Candidates must be capable of safely identifying electrical problems and performing appropriate repairs according to established procedures.
Hydraulic & Mechanical Maintenance
Diagnose hydraulic system failures
Troubleshoot leaks, pressure issues, and component failures
Repair or replace hydraulic components as required
Diagnose mechanical equipment problems
Repair industrial production machinery
Replace worn or damaged components
Support equipment reliability and production uptime
Identify recurring mechanical issues and communicate concerns
Reactive Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Because this facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, rapid response to equipment failures is an important part of this position.
Respond quickly to machine breakdowns
Determine the source of equipment failures
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems
Prioritize repairs according to production needs
Complete repairs safely and efficiently
Test equipment after repairs
Return machinery to production when safe and operational
Help minimize unnecessary production downtime
Preventive Maintenance
Complete assigned preventive maintenance activities
Inspect equipment for abnormal wear or operating conditions
Identify components approaching failure
Lubricate, adjust, clean, or service equipment as required
Replace worn components before breakdowns occur when possible
Document completed maintenance accurately
Support long-term equipment reliability
Personal Tool Requirements
Maintenance Technicians must provide their own basic hand tools, including:
Wrenches
Sockets
Drills
Other basic personal maintenance tools as required
Specialized equipment may be provided according to company procedures.
Forklift & Elevated Work
Candidates must be comfortable:
Operating forklifts as required when trained and authorized
Working from elevated areas
Climbing silos
Accessing production equipment at height
Performing maintenance around large industrial machinery
Candidates who are uncomfortable working at heights will not be a good fit for this position.

Advanced Industrial Maintenance Technician experience
Manufacturing maintenance experience
Strong 480V electrical troubleshooting experience
Hydraulic repair experience
Industrial motor troubleshooting experience
Machine control experience
Heater band experience
Forklift operating experience
Preventive maintenance experience
Experience supporting a 24/7 manufacturing facility
Experience working at heights or on industrial silos
Strong independent troubleshooting and repair skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk throughout 12-hour shifts
Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to climb silos and safely work at elevated heights
Ability to safely access production machinery for inspection and repair
Manual dexterity required for tools, wiring, components, and maintenance equipment
Ability to safely operate forklifts when trained and authorized
Comfortable performing physically demanding maintenance work throughout extended shifts
Ability to safely wear all required PPE

24/7 industrial manufacturing environment

Regular work around production machinery, hydraulics, electrical equipment, motors, controls, forklifts, and elevated equipment
Hands-on position involving frequent troubleshooting and emergency repairs
12-hour rotating day and night shift options
