Industrial Maintenance Technician III - HVAC
Location: 4500 S Dobson Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248
Pay Rate: $35.00/hr (W2) | Shift: M-F 8-5 | Duration: 6 months, Temp-to-Hire
About the Role
Join a dynamic, self-directed operations & maintenance team as an Industrial Maintenance Technician III - HVAC. This opportunity offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art manufacturing systems and the chance to advance your skills in a high-growth industrial setting. You'll deliver essential HVAC and general maintenance support, ensuring facility reliability and safety for a leading organization in Chandler, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Execute preventive and planned maintenance for HVAC and building systems, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair pumps, agitators, hydraulic systems, vacuum systems, RO/DI water systems, and compressed air and gas distribution.
- Perform general facility maintenance, including minor carpentry, painting, and sheet metal repairs.
- Implement and refine maintenance procedures, conduct job estimates, and manage spare parts inventory.
- Assist with installation and inspection of new equipment; support project teams, contractors, and vendors as needed.
- Operate diagnostic tools and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document work and improve energy efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including PPE use, lockout/tagout, and job hazard analysis.
- Maintain flexibility in daily scheduling to meet changing business needs.
- Provide responsive customer service, ensuring compliance with codes and industry standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial HVAC, industrial mechanical, or machine repair
- High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent
- Proficient in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and general repairs in a manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet on lifts
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (climbing ladders, bending, lifting, color differentiation)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CMMS
- Inventory management skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Additional state or trade-specific certifications
