    Description

    We are seeking an experienced and dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician to join a manufacturing team in Georgetown, SC. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and electrical/electronic systems to help keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently.

    The ideal candidate will have strong industrial maintenance experience with a combination of electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting skills. Experience working with PLCs, motors, sensors, control systems, and production machinery is highly desirable.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial production equipment and machinery.
    • Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting on equipment, control systems, motors, sensors, switches, and related components.
    • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and identify electrical or control-related failures.
    • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
    • Inspect machinery regularly and identify potential problems before equipment failure occurs.
    • Repair or replace motors, bearings, sensors, switches, electrical components, and other machine components as needed.
    • Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on industrial equipment.
    • Assist with troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems when necessary.
    • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
    • Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify electrical and mechanical problems.
    • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance calls.
    • Work closely with production personnel and other maintenance technicians to coordinate repairs and minimize downtime.
    • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and improvement projects.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
    • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and all company safety procedures.
    • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance work area.
    • Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
    • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
    • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, motors, sensors, electrical controls, and industrial machinery strongly preferred.
    • Understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
    • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.
    • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
    • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
    • Must be safety-conscious and able to follow established procedures.
    • Must be dependable and able to respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
    • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends when required.

    Ideal Candidate

    Candidates with backgrounds as Industrial Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Mechanics, Electromechanical Technicians, Industrial Electricians, or Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians are encouraged to apply.
