TradeWorX is hiring an experienced
Industrial Maintenance Technician for a direct-hire opportunity in
New Kensington, PA. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated manufacturing equipment to help minimize downtime and keep production running safely and efficiently.
We are looking for a hands-on maintenance professional with a solid mechanical background and working knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and advanced electrical troubleshooting is a plus but is not required for every candidate.

Pay & Schedule
- $25.00–$30.00/hour, based on experience
- Direct-hire
- Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Overtime and weekend work may be required as needed
Job Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance on industrial production and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Maintain and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, pumps, and automated production equipment
- Troubleshoot industrial electrical components including motor controls, contactors, control panels, and electrical circuits
- Assist with troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and VFDs
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to minimize production downtime
- Inspect equipment and identify potential problems before failures occur
- Read equipment manuals, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
- Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance and repairs
- Perform basic fabrication, equipment modifications, and general facility maintenance as needed
- Follow Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and all required plant safety procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, production, or similar environment
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting experience
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read manuals, diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Understanding of Lockout/Tagout and industrial safety practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience maintaining
industrial production equipment and is comfortable troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical problems.
Additional experience with
conveyors, PLCs, VFDs, 24V–480V electrical systems, motor controls, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding/fabrication, CMMS systems, or automated production equipment is a plus.
