Your Shift, Your Impact
Choose from two steady schedules that keep production running smoothly:
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 1:45 pm–10:00 pm
- 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 9:45 pm–6:00 am
From the moment you clock in, you are the guardian of equipment performance and plant safety. You’ll move between preventative maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and precision changeovers—always with an eye on OEE, quality, and safety.
Day-in-the-Life
- Start-up & Safety: Walk the line, review operator notes, and address hazards before they become issues. Follow Lockout/Tagout without exception and correct unsafe conditions on the spot.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute PMs scheduled by the Maintenance Manager and/or TPM Leader. Validate operator checklists, remove root causes of inefficiency, and return machines to showroom condition. Tag parts in line with Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) guidelines.
- Changeovers: Complete mold/tooling changeovers using Single-Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) methods to minimize downtime. Confirm safe, efficient operation before the line restarts.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and process issues. Support building maintenance tasks as assigned.
- CMMS & Parts: Use MicroMain to document work, close work orders, and record parts usage. Signal low stock/reorder points to the Maintenance Manager or Administrative Assistant. Generate quick tickets for emergency repairs.
- Training & Collaboration: Coordinate with the Production Manager and/or Senior Operator on equipment training; propose new topics that elevate capability across shifts.
- Housekeeping & Pride: Maintain a clean, orderly workspace that reflects world-class standards.
- Communication & Teams: Share progress, issues, and improvement ideas with maintenance, production, and leadership. Actively participate in safety, quality, sustainability, community involvement, OEE, maintenance, employee wellness, brainstorming, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Growth Mindset: Meet regularly with your manager, seek training, pursue continuing education, and set development goals. Report quality, food safety, GMP, and food defense concerns immediately.

What You Bring
Education: High School diploma or GED required.

- Communication & Senses: Clear verbal communication; hearing sensitivity of no less than 40 dB at 500 Hz, 100 Hz, and 2000 Hz (with or without correction) to discern fine machine sounds; near vision to detect small defects and read data
- Repetition: Frequent use of hands and arms
- Exertion Level: Medium work—up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, 10 lbs constantly
Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor exposure
- Potential for heat above 100°F for over one hour
- Noise and vibration (whole body or extremities)
- Proximity to moving machinery, electrical currents, and chemicals
- Atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
- Contact with oils and cutting fluids (air and/or skin exposure)
