Step into a day on our first shift
When the plant powers up, you’re the one who ensures everything runs smoothly. From engines and motors to pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery, you’ll keep equipment reliable and safe. This is a first-shift role where you’ll move between diagnostics, precision repairs, and preventive maintenance—always with safety and quality in mind.
What you’ll tackle
- Follow all policies and procedures outlined in our Standard Operating Procedures, Environmental Management System, and other Employment Policies relevant to the role.
- Observe machines in operation—listening for anomalies and tracing issues to their source.
- Dismantle equipment as needed to access and remove defective components.
- Examine part form and texture to spot imperfections; measure used parts to identify dimensional changes.
- Tune functional components and control instruments to restore optimal performance.
- Repair or replace worn or failed parts; install specialized functional/structural components when required.
- Clean and lubricate parts; reassemble and start up equipment to validate repairs.
- Set up and operate metalworking tools—lathe, drill press, grinder, and others—to fabricate or repair parts.
- Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment.
- Perform lockout/tagout in strict accordance with OSHA standards.
What you bring
- High school diploma or GED. One to three months of related experience/training or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Government- or company-sponsored apprenticeship or a relevant degree preferred.
- Hands-on strengths in: Pneumatics Troubleshooting, Industrial Electrical Experience, and Hydraulic Systems & Components.
