Description

3rd SHIFT OPENING – HOURS: M-F 10:00PM – 6:30AM

Picture your night: a molding line stops mid-run, a sensor is throwing faults, and a hydraulic circuit is running hot. You step in—diagnose the issue, swap the failed component, fine‑tune settings, and capture the work in the CMMS before moving on to a scheduled PM. That’s a typical shift for our Industrial Maintenance Mechanic keeping a high‑volume plastics operation running smoothly.

What you’ll handle

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production and facility equipment.
  • Execute both scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective work.
  • Record work accurately in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Work with an eye toward quality, reliability, scrap reduction, and safety targets.
  • Follow all site safety procedures and policies at all times.
  • Detect and address emerging failures in machines, subsystems, and components.
  • Spot and recommend process improvements that increase uptime and efficiency.
  • Help manage spare parts inventory and suggest critical spares.
  • Operate machine shop and diagnostic tools: milling machine, band saw, drill press, lathe, welder, and electrical multimeter.
  • Partner closely with Process Technicians and Supervisors to resolve technical process issues.
  • Keep maintenance areas organized and clean.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of hands‑on industrial maintenance experience in blow molding and/or injection molding environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret O&M instructions, manuals, blueprints, and electrical/controls schematics.
  • Skilled in basic electrical diagnostics and repair.
  • Solid understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Working knowledge of plastics processing in blow molding and injection applications.

Preferred

  • Exposure to PLCs, robotics, and servo motion control.

Working conditions & physical demands

  • Non‑climate‑controlled production/warehouse environment with moderate noise; prolonged standing and walking (more than 90% of the shift).
  • Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, and stair climbing.
  • Use required PPE in designated areas/tasks: head protection, gloves, safety glasses, ARC flash, etc.
  • Compensation: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
