Responsibilities
- Execute planned and preventative maintenance on diverse building equipment, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including pumps, hydraulic systems, vacuum systems, RO/DI water, and distribution systems to minimize downtime.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as basic carpentry, painting, and sheet metal work.
- Operate diagnostic instruments, hand tools, and computers for repairs and efficiency evaluations.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and communicate stock usage.
- Support equipment installations, inspections, and renovations in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including PPE use, lockout/tagout, and hazard analysis.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for scheduling and documentation.
- Respond promptly to work orders and provide excellent service and feedback to customers.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance equipment performance and maintenance practices.
- Flexibly manage daily tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years' experience in industrial HVAC, machine repair, or automotive repair.
- Proficiency with hand tools, laptops, diagnostic hardware, and Microsoft Office.
- Capability to work at heights up to 30 feet using aerial or scissor lifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including extensive walking, ladder climbing, bending, and lifting.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with specialized HVAC systems in manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with sheet metal and carpentry tasks.
- Additional state licensing (as required).
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience with CMMS platforms.
