    Step into a modern, air-conditioned plant where uptime, safety, and craftsmanship matter. As our Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll keep production moving through smart troubleshooting, rigorous preventive care, and hands-on fabrication.

    What a Typical Day Can Look Like

    You arrive ready to scan dashboards, review the maintenance queue in eMaint, and plan your priorities. A line is running warm—your infrared check confirms a bearing issue. You schedule a quick corrective action, guide a production associate through a routine PM task you’ve trained them on, and document everything meticulously for accurate reporting. Later, you coordinate a vendor visit, place a PO for a critical spare, and close the day fabricating a small bracket in the shop so the next shift is set up for success.

    Work Environment & Schedule

    • Modern, air-conditioned facility with occasional exposure to varying temperatures.
    • Standard work hours: Sunday – Thursday, 3:30 PM – 12:15 AM; overtime as needed.
    • Training schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, then transition to a 1:00 PM start time post-training. Hours and length of training are flexible to fit your needs.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Ensure peak performance of installed equipment and building systems.
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and deliver safe predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
    • Execute daily/weekly/monthly PMs using eMaint maintenance software.
    • Manage sub-contractors and create purchase orders for parts and services.
    • Compile, analyze, and report maintenance data with accuracy.
    • Train and oversee production staff performing routine PMs; monitor compliance.
    • Fabricate and repair parts with machine shop tools and equipment as needed.

    Technical Toolkit

    • Electrical proficiency with 480/240/120 volts
    • Knowledge of bearings, power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication systems, fluid pumping, welding, and rigging
    • Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams
    • Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Hands-on experience with hand, power, and specialized tools
    • Plus: brazing and open-air furnace experience
    • Preferred (not required): PLC troubleshooting and AutoCAD

    Physical Requirements

    • Comfort with pulling, reaching, bending, climbing, and kneeling
    • Lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Stand for extended periods

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of industrial equipment maintenance experience
    • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
    • Strong organization and attention to detail
    • Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision
    • Basic math skills
    • Demonstrated experience in welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenance
