    Industrial Machinery Assembly Millwright Technician

    Build machines that power industry

    Imagine receiving a stack of precision-machined parts and a detailed print set. You plan the lifts, rig components safely with an overhead crane, and assemble sub-systems into a fully functioning machine. You validate every tolerance, complete a final inspection, and help load the unit for shipment—all while upholding safety and the values that define BCT.

    Your mission

    • Transform fabricated and machined components into complete machines and subassemblies.
    • Rig, lift, stage, and load equipment—operating overhead cranes independently.
    • Build complex machinery of varying sizes using blueprints and schematics.
    • Identify the right tools and shop resources to meet production targets.
    • Perform end-of-line inspections to verify quality standards.
    • Complete monthly safety training and model safe behaviors.
    • Assist internal partners and serve external customers with professionalism.
    • Offer backup and support across the assembly area when needed.
    • Keep the workspace clean, safe, and well-organized.
    • Weld when required (preferred skill, not mandatory).
    • Support and advance BCT’s Culture and Core Values.

    What you bring

    • Strong written and verbal communication.
    • High attention to detail; thorough, decisive, and persistent in problem-solving.
    • Applied math capability: add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert metric/imperial.
    • Solid mechanical aptitude and basic mechanical knowledge.

    Experience that sets you up for success

    • Overhead crane experience (required).
    • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or similar environments (required).
    • Heavy machine assembly experience (preferred).
    • Hydraulics knowledge (plus).

    • Blueprint reading

    Equipment you’ll work around

    • Shot Blast Machine (Viking Blast & Wash Systems, Goff, Guyson, Pangborn, Wheelabrator)

    Guided by the Assembly Manager, you’ll take pride in craftsmanship and safety while delivering machines that meet exacting standards.
