Industrial Machine Builder


Location: Cypress, TX

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour, based on relevant experience

Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week with a flexible daytime start time; final hours confirmed during hiring

Assignment: Full-time temporary project anticipated to last approximately 2-3 months

Work Setting: On-site, non-climate-controlled industrial environment


LINK Staffing is hiring an Industrial Machine Builder for a hands-on temporary project in Cypress, Texas. The work focuses on assembling, fitting, aligning, adjusting, and modifying metal components for industrial machinery and mechanical subassemblies.


WHAT YOU'LL DO


• Assemble, fit, align, fasten, and adjust industrial machinery and mechanical subassemblies

• Use hand tools, power tools, drills, and wrenches safely and effectively

• Evaluate component fitment and make appropriate minor mechanical adjustments or modifications

• Secure bolts and mechanical fasteners correctly during assembly

• Troubleshoot fitment and alignment issues and determine appropriate next steps

• Work independently while coordinating with a small project team when assistance is needed

• Follow site safety procedures and maintain an organized work area


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS


• Previous professional or directly comparable hands-on experience in machine building, mechanical assembly, fabrication, industrial maintenance, automotive repair, engine repair, or related mechanical work

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of how metal components fit and function together

• Experience using common hand and power tools

• Ability to evaluate mechanical problems and work productively with limited supervision

• Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working around industrial machinery and equipment


PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT


• Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled industrial environment

• Must be comfortable performing assembly work from ladders up to approximately 6 feet while using tools

• Must be able to perform the position's lifting, standing, climbing, and tool-use requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Tools needed for the assignment are available on site
