Position Summary: The Industrial HVAC Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the HVAC systems at our chemical manufacturing facility. They are responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.Duties and Responsibilities:
Abiding by all safety guidelines and working instructions of AdvanSixWorking on a wide variety of refrigeration/HVAC equipmentTraining for and performing other tasks as needs are presentedAssisting with modernization of buildings, equipment, and groundsTroubleshooting, repairing, and replacing equipment as necessaryPerforming maintenance items such as, bearing, motor, belt, pulley, and filter replacementsParticipating in Maintenance Excellence programCould be working outdoors in adverse weather conditions
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required3 years of heavy industrial/commercial HVAC service, installations, and repairs experience through an apprenticeship program, classroom education, and/or on-the-job training
Additional Qualifications:
Familiarity with computers preferred; ability to retrieve information and navigate through systemsExecution of preventative and predictive maintenance activitiesA strong understanding of electrical systems, up to 480VACTraining and / or experience on process equipment refrigeration systems a plusExperience with chillers, ventilation, heating, and air conditioning systems and all the components involved in these processes a plusAbility to read and understand blueprints preferredAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variablesAbility to work in an industrial environment with prolonged standing and walkingAbility to complete and maintain internal safety training requirementsCommunicate well both verbal and writtenAbility to work individually or as part of a team and be dependable and cross-functionalAbility to solderKnowledge of doing leak checksKnowledge of pneumatic valves and controls a plusFamiliarization of flooded chillers a plus
The hourly rate for this position is $44.44
