Lead the heartbeat of our service operations
Step into a role where steel fabrication meets precision service. As our Industrial Field Service Operations Manager, you’ll own the full lifecycle of service, repairs, and field support—directing technicians, orchestrating workflow, and ensuring a mixed fleet (cranes, trucks, fabrication machinery, and automotive assets) is safe, compliant, and mission-ready. Success blends technical depth, digital savvy, and steady leadership.
A day in this role
- Chart the daily plan: schedule, direct, and mentor service technicians for shop and on-site assignments.
- Keep the fleet inspection-ready: oversee cranes, trucks, fabrication equipment, and field/shop tools for preventative maintenance, repairs, and overall readiness.
- Turn requests into results: review incoming service needs, dispatch work orders, and maintain accurate digital records, logs, and reports.
- Be the go-to troubleshooter: diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and fabrication-related issues; lend hands-on guidance when needed.
- Partner across disciplines: collaborate with welding, fabrication, and engineering to resolve complex service challenges.
- Communicate clearly: update customers and internal stakeholders on job status, timelines, and approvals.
- Stock what matters: manage inventory of tools, consumables, and parts; coordinate with vendors and assist procurement.
- Champion safety: uphold OSHA standards and best practices for proper equipment operation and procedures.
- Grow the team: train, coach, and elevate service staff in efficiency, technical skill, and safety awareness.
