    Job Summary

    The Industrial Engineer works directly with functional and operational areas to advance change and develop process improvement recommendations to leadership. The engineer completes detailed process analysis and is accountable for determining productivity and cost-effective improvements. The engineer conducts data collection, analysis, information reporting, tactical and strategic planning, and forecasting.

    What you'll do

    • Provides engineering consulting to include in-house consultation on process improvement, work measurement, strategic planning, lean six sigma, automation, and special projects.
    • Leads and implements corporate and strategic initiatives while utilizing project management tools for timely completion of all projects.
    • Develops and recommends solutions to maximize corporate-wide productivity and efficiency through work measurement, methods improvement, procedure analysis, and workflow analysis.
    • Creates systems and reports to reduce manual effort, increase user productivity and improve process efficiency.
    • Performs cost analysis to determine cost estimations tied to resources, equipment, and processes.
    • Plays a key role in developing corporate robotic process automation (RPA) solutions.
    • Contributes to improved productivity and quality through participation in the development of appropriate training programs, incentive programs, quality programs and operational and administrative procedures.

    What you need

    Education and Experience:

    • Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or current enrollment with an expected graduation within the next semester. A master's degree in engineering, business, finance, or healthcare field is preferred.
    • Requires 3 months to 3 years of practical experience in business management, production management, industrial engineering, scheduling systems, or business operational research and analysis. A lean six sigma black belt certification is preferred.
    • Requires a working knowledge of business operations, work methods, production functions, processes, and workflow. Experience with healthcare payor business processes (such as enrollment/renewals, customer service, claims, finance, etc.) preferred.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    • Ability to apply industrial engineering skills and experience over a wide scope of the organization's operations and functions and responsible for extremely complex projects, which may cross numerous organizational boundaries.
    • Must participate on project teams undertaking critical strategic projects, team activities include leading, planning, organizing, and implementing.
