Expected Hours per Week: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year

Position Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Industrial Engineer to optimize material flow, improve operational efficiency, and drive productivity across manufacturing and warehouse operations. This role will focus on facility layout design, material storage optimization, packaging engineering, labor analysis, process improvement, and launch support. The ideal candidate is an analytical problem-solver with experience in Lean Manufacturing, AutoCAD, time studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design material storage plans, PFEPs, warehouse layouts, floor layouts, pallet racking, and material presentation solutions.
• Analyze material flow, labor utilization, and space utilization to improve operational efficiency.
• Lead facility layout changes supporting new programs, engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maximize storage utilization and optimize material movement throughout plant operations.
• Develop and maintain plant layouts, drawings, and facility documentation.
• Design and approve packaging solutions for new program launches and business opportunities.
• Support launch activities with operations teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Conduct time studies and develop labor standards for manufacturing and material handling operations.
• Perform ergonomic evaluations and implement process improvements.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage project tracking, reporting, and risk mitigation activities during launches and operational changes.
• Coordinate with Operations, Transportation, IT, and external vendors on layout and process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of time studies, labor standards, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for facility and layout design.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Access.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Formal problem-solving training or experience.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with warehouse optimization and material flow analysis.
• Packaging engineering experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing launches and facility expansions.
• Continuous improvement, Kaizen, or process optimization experience.
