Industrial Engineer
What You"ll Do
Lead Manufacturing Process Development
Develop and industrialize manufacturing processes for new and existing products, ensuring efficient, repeatable, and scalable production.
Design and implement production methods that improve quality, throughput, and operational performance.
Create process flow diagrams, manufacturing layouts, work instructions, and production documentation to support successful product launches.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through production implementation.
Optimize Manufacturing Operations
Evaluate, specify, procure, and implement manufacturing resources, including equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation solutions.
Calculate manufacturing costs for processes such as injection molding and assembly to support business and operational decisions.
Perform capacity analysis and support manufacturing investment planning for production growth and new product introductions.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing performance.
Drive Quality & Risk Reduction
Participate in Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P-FMEA) activities to proactively identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.
Support quality initiatives and ensure manufacturing processes meet operational and customer requirements.
Promote best practices in process control, quality systems, and manufacturing standards.
Support Global Manufacturing Initiatives
Collaborate with global and local engineering teams to implement process improvements and standardize manufacturing practices.
Coordinate engineering change requests and support implementation across multiple manufacturing locations.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of engineering methods, standards, and product development processes.
Share technical expertise and support knowledge transfer across global operations.
Manage Manufacturing Data & Systems
Create and maintain SAP production structures, including:
Routings
Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Work Centers
Equipment Records
Manufacturing Cost Data
Utilize AutoCAD to create manufacturing layouts, production flow designs, and facility planning documentation.
What You"ll Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor"s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering environments.
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting injection molding manufacturing processes.
Strong understanding of manufacturing process development, industrialization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience creating production layouts, process flows, and manufacturing documentation.
Working knowledge of P-FMEA, risk management, and quality control principles.
Experience calculating manufacturing costs and evaluating production investments.
Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proficiency with Windows-based engineering and business applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP production planning and manufacturing modules.
Proficiency with AutoCAD for manufacturing layouts and facility planning.
Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
Exposure to automation, tooling, or capital equipment implementation projects.
Experience working within global manufacturing organizations.
Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Elgin, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
