    POSITION SUMMARY:


     


    The Industrial Engineer shall support the business in areas of production process improvement by analyzing work flow to improve efficiencies.


     


    GENERAL DUTIES:



    • Work to drive out cost through process improvements and documented standard work instructions.

    • Designs, redesigns or enhances work areas and layouts with respect for ergonomics and waste elimination.

    • Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods and trends and developments in technology and equipment.

    • Works in conjunction with our lean team to improve process flow.

    • Develops and maintains management information, planning and control systems.

    • Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs.

    • Performs time studies to level load the manufacturing process.

    • Implements PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis) mindset and process for our operators.

    • Work across the organization to solve problems related to process outputs

    • Develops, implements and communicates best practices.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.



    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


     



    • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred).

    • Masters degree in manufacturing related engineering field is a plus.

    • Minimum 2 years in production environment

    • Preference given to aerospace and defense electronics experience



    • Read/Write Fluently in English; Spanish speaking a plus

    • Needs to be an effective communicator, credible and decisive, possess team building skills

    • Must be well-organized, flexible and able to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment

    • Must have analytical skills and demonstrated RCCA implementation experience

    • Comfortable using MS Office Suite including; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and MSWord.

    • Sustained dependable attendance.

    • Cooperation with others in team environment for cross training and conference on operational issues.

    • Initiative in learning and changing work methods to accomplish assigned tasks on a timely basis.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:


     



    • Regularly required to walk up and down stairs.

    • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.

    • Regularly required to talk or hear.

    • Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel.

    • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

    • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    • Vision abilities include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

    • Noise level is usually moderate.

    • Occasional fumes or airborne particles; toxic, caustic chemicals and vibration.
