Industrial / Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Prince George, VA

Contract: 6 Months

We’re hiring an Industrial / Manufacturing Engineer to help improve the way a large manufacturing operation runs day to day.

The ideal candidate has experience evaluating production processes and using engineering principles and data to improve workflow, labor utilization, facility layout, productivity, quality, and cost.

• Manufacturing process and workflow optimization
• Time studies and labor standards
• Factory and production-line layouts
• Workstation design and line balancing
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
• Waste reduction and productivity initiatives
• Manufacturing data analysis
• Standard work and process documentation
• Capital equipment and facility improvement projects
• ERP/MES-driven performance analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field
• 3+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing
• Experience with process improvement, labor analysis, and production/facility layouts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Excel, Visio, Project, and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with ERP and/or MES systems

Experience with Lean Six Sigma, SAP, high-volume manufacturing, equipment installations, or facility expansions is a plus.
