Industrial Engineer | Superior Industries
Location: 9880 E Superior Ln, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314
Who We Are
We build the machines that build the world. At Superior Industries, our innovative crushing, screening, washing, and conveying equipment processes the essential materials used to construct roads, bridges, airports, and hospitals. We proudly serve time-honored industries, but our internal culture is fiercely modern. We champion bold ideas, spirited collaboration, and continuous opportunity for everyone on our team.
The Role
We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to be our catalyst for efficiency. You won't just monitor processes; you will reinvent them. From designing cutting-edge facility layouts to evaluating new manufacturing technology, you will ensure our production floor is as robust and reliable as the heavy-duty equipment we build.
What You'll Do
- Process Innovation: Identify, develop, and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes while driving continuous improvement initiatives to elevate product quality.
- Design & Optimization: Design and procure essential tooling and fixtures. Work closely with Production Managers to establish high-efficiency facility layouts and maintain a precise time-study system.
- Strategic Expansion: Evaluate new technologies, recommend capital equipment, and drive the purchasing process-from running the initial cost analysis to presenting your final proposals to management.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Bridge the gap between design and the shop floor. Review engineering packets for manufacturability (DFM), find alternative outsourcing solutions when needed, and partner with the Quality department to solve complex production challenges.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all manufacturing processes strictly adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and rigorous quality control measures.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related education.
What You Bring
- The Right Mindset: A continuous-improvement mentality with a sharp eye for detail, quality, and punctuality.
- Collaborative Spirit: Strong communication skills to build long-term relationships across departments and suppliers.
- Adaptability: A "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude with the ability to manage the physical demands of the shop, meet tight project schedules, and help out wherever needed.
- Cultural Fit: True alignment with our Core Values: Serving Others, High Integrity, Strong Work Ethic, Culture of Opportunity, & Long-Term Relationships.
What We Offer
- Health & Wellness: Medical (we cover 75% of premiums!), Dental, Vision, and Company-paid Life Insurance.
- Financial Growth: Weekly paychecks, a 401K retirement account with a 5% company match, and on-the-spot performance bonuses up to $100.
- Work-Life & Gear: Paid vacation time, plus up to $125 in work boot reimbursements.
- Workspace: A clean, organized, and safety-obsessed facility
