    Description

    Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational performance using Lean
    manufacturing principles.

    • Analyze and optimize manufacturing workflows, labor utilization, and line balancing to maximize throughput and resource efficiency.
    • Develop and implement capacity models, production strategies, and staffing plans to support customer demand and business growth.
    • Drive cost reduction initiatives through cycle-time improvements, standardized work, and enhanced process efficiency.
    • Establish and monitor key manufacturing performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
    • Conduct time studies, value stream mapping, and process analyses to identify bottlenecks and improve material and information flow.
    • Lead structured problem-solving and root cause analysis efforts to eliminate production constraints and improve operational stability.
    • Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D to improve manufacturability, scalability, and overall value stream performance.
    • Support process validation, change management, and continuous improvement activities to ensure compliant and sustainable manufacturing operations.
    • Manage strategic operational improvement projects from concept through implementation, delivering measurable gains in productivity, efficiency, and cost performance.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded engineer to join a small team supporting a recently acquired medical device startup. As a Industrial Engineer, you will support the development, validation, and scale-up of manufacturing processes for our innovative surgical device — directly contributing to product quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes. In all actions, the Industrial Engineer will demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented processes and procedures.
