Job Summary

We are looking for an Industrial Engineer with strong hands-on shop floor and manufacturing experience. The role focuses on Time Study, Line Balancing, Lean Manufacturing, VSM, process optimization, and productivity improvement, preferably in automotive or off-highway manufacturing.

Job Title: Industrial Engineer
Location: Appleton, WI

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze assembly processes and identify improvement opportunities using Lean principles.
• Conduct Time Studies, Elemental Breakdown, Line Balancing, and VA/NVA/RNVA analysis.
• Develop Current State and Future State VSM and identify bottlenecks, waste, and capacity gaps.
• Drive process and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis for quality issues, defects, and downtime.
• Support Kaizen, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
• Develop and improve Standard Work and Video Work Instructions.
• Support fixture design and manufacturing process improvements.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 5 7 years of Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Hands-on shop floor/manufacturing experience - mandatory.
• Strong experience with:
• Time Study & Line Balancing
• Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
• Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
• Process & Productivity Improvement
• Root Cause Analysis & Kaizen
• Assembly Line/Manufacturing Process Improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Automotive, Off-Highway, Heavy Equipment, or Commercial Vehicle manufacturing.
• Experience with Muri, VA/NVA/RNVA analysis.
• Capacity analysis and process optimization experience.
• Experience developing Standard Work/Work Instructions.
• Video Time Study experience.
• Experience with Current State/Future State VSM.
• Lean Six Sigma experience.
• Manufacturing KPI/productivity analysis experience.
• Experience supporting fixture design.
