JOB OPPORTUNITY - INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN
Casting Solutions, LLC in Zanesville, Ohio is offering an opportunity to apply your experience and skills as an Electrician in a union environment. Electricians will be responsible for preventative and routine electrical maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Good understanding of PC's, PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Installing new equipment.
- Able to document engineering changes, equipment modification and new installations.
- Ability to plan work that requires knowledge of wiring electrical low and high voltage- 24v DC to 480 volts, running wire and conduit, and reading schematics with mechanical maintenance issues.
- Requires knowledge of electrical, mechanical theories and principal sto effectively accomplish assigned work with minimal interruption to production using our lock-out, tag-out policy
- Develop a predictive/preventative approach to electrical and mechanical maintenance issues in a safe manner
- Develop working mechanical and electrical knowledge of material conveying, process water, chilled water, air compressors, air dryers, high voltage 3 phase or single power distribution, transformers, switch gears, all systems that support the production process. Including proficiency at PM's and the rebuilding of equipment components
- Ability to plan work that requires knowledge of electrical theories, codes and principals to effectively accomplish assigned work with minimum supervision
- Install power requirements for equipment modification and installation
- Build new or modify programs used for controls of equipment or system
- Comply with union/company policies for software updates, filing and archiving of PLC/PC applications
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential skills:
- Minimum of 1 year electrical/mechanical role
- Must be able to climb and work at elevated heights
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic PLC
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment
- Alternating current fundamentals
- Applied Mathematics
- Arc flash electrical safety
- Basic PLC troubleshooting
- Blueprint reading electrical schematics
- Electrical sensors, relays and coils
- Hydraulic pressure switches
- Industrial power distribution
- Mechanical drives
- Motor controls, starters, thermoover-load relays, time delay relays
- Soldering
- Variable frequency drives, soft starters
- Safety, lock-out, tag-out procedures

- Awareness of surroundings and a pro-safety mindset.
A high degree of hand-eye coordination.
Ability to withstand a lot of walking and being on your feet for long periods of time.
Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
Ability to perform repetitive work more than 8 hours per day.
Ability to read fine print and distinguish colors.
Ability to reach machine controls five feet above the floor.
Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment.
