Description

We have an excellent opportunity for an Industrial Electrician in Martinsburg, WV with a local manufacturing company.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • State Journeyman Electrician License, Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electromechanical Technology, or completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
  • 3–5 years of Industrial Electrician experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
  • Experience in plastics, thermoforming, or food manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of 480V/277V and 208V/120V electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  • Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), NEC, and electrical safety practices.
  • Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and production equipment.
  • Maintain extrusion lines, recycling systems, thermoforming equipment, motors, VFDs, transformers, lighting, and facility electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair PLCs, HMIs, relays, sensors, and other electrical control components.
  • Support equipment installations, startup projects, and production line expansions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical panels, motors, and facility equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and electrical documentation.
  • Analyze equipment downtime and assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Follow all OSHA, NEC, GMP, SQF, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety requirements.
  • Work closely with Maintenance and Production teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, electrical equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Required to wear all company-issued PPE and follow GMP food safety requirements.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at heights throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and safely operate equipment such as scissor lifts and boom lifts.
  • Must be flexible to support on-call rotation and occasional off-shift coverage for a 24/7 operation.
Schedule:
  • Monday – Friday
  • Must be flexible for on-call rotation and off-shift coverage as needed.
Pay Rate:
  • $35.00/hour (Based on Experience)
