Industrial Electrician

Clayton Services is searching for Industrial Electricians to join a thriving company in North Houston, Texas. The Industrial Electricians will be responsible for installing rigid conduit systems, running industrial control wiring, and completing electrical installations on a fast-paced industrial project. Qualified candidates must have extensive hands-on experience bending, threading, and installing rigid conduit and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Job Type: Temporary (3–4 week project with potential for additional assignments or permanent employment)
Pay Rate: $38.00–$47.00/hour, depending on experience, plus overtime
Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM start, 10-hour shifts (approximately 60 hours per week)

Industrial Electrician Responsibilities:

• Measure, bend, cut, thread, and install rigid metal conduit ranging from 3⁄4 " to 2 ".
• Independently Client out and install conduit runs between electrical control panels and field devices.
• Accurately calculate conduit bends, offsets, take-up measurements, and routing requirements.
• Install conduit fittings, supports, and associated electrical components.
• Pull, identify, and route industrial control wiring through conduit systems.
• Perform control wire terminations at panels and field devices as needed.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation specifications.
• Operate conduit benders, threading equipment, and other electrical installation tools.
• Complete electrical installations efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with on-site supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines.
• Follow applicable electrical codes, safety procedures, and jobsite requirements.

Industrial Electrician Skills and Abilities:

• Extensive hands-on experience bending, threading, and installing rigid metal conduit ranging from 3⁄4 " to 2 ".
• Strong understanding of conduit take-up, offsets, measurements, and bending techniques.
• Ability to independently plan and complete rigid conduit installations without additional training.
• Experience working in industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, or heavy industrial construction environments.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control panels, and field devices.
• Experience pulling, identifying, and terminating industrial control wiring preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency using conduit bending and threading equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

Industrial Electrician Education and Experience:

• Journeyman Electrician license OR NCCER certification with at least 7 years of electrical experience required.
• Previous industrial electrical installation experience required.
• Demonstrated proficiency bending, threading, and installing rigid metal conduit required.
• Industrial plant, refinery, chemical plant, manufacturing, or similar industrial construction experience preferred.
• Industrial control wiring and termination experience preferred.
• Must meet project-specific background check and drug screening requirements.
• Must be available to start immediately and work the required overtime schedule.
