Description
Nucor Warehouse Systems is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our facility team in Houston, TX. In this role, you will install, modify, and maintain complex electrical machinery, high-voltage equipment, and automated circuitry within an active manufacturing plant environment. Qualified candidates must possess at least 3 years of experience as an industrial electrical technician in manufacturing, 3 years of PLC programming experience, and 3 years of hands-on VFD experience.

Job Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and modify electrical machinery, circuitry, and high-voltage distribution systems up to 480V or higher.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), automation controls, conventional gas ovens, and overhead cranes.
- Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on machinery, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and presses using technical diagrams, schematics, calipers, and micrometers.
- Collaborate closely with electrical engineers and production teams to resolve operational issues and maintain detailed work documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of industrial electrician experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience programming PLCs and working with VFDs.
- Proficiency in 3-phase electrical systems (up to 480V+), reading technical blueprints, and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field.
- Preferred mechanical maintenance experience across production machines and pneumatic systems.
