Location: Manteno, IL
Hire Type: Contract to hire
**Shift ***: 1st shift *
Compensation: $32-$38/hr

Industrial Electrical Technician
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Technician to support electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and automation within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for keeping production equipment and electrical systems running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, wiring, control panels, relays, breakers, and circuits
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to reduce equipment downtime
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and automated production equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Support new equipment installations and production line upgrades
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation
- Ensure electrical work meets applicable safety and electrical standards
- Partner with maintenance and production teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability
Qualifications
5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs
Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC experience preferred
Ability to use multimeters and other electrical diagnostic equipment
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical training, apprenticeship, or associate degree in a related field preferred
Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
