    EHC is currently looking for an Industrial Electrical Shop Technician IV for a client in the Conroe, TX area.

    Job Summary:

    The Industrial Electrical Shop Technician IV is responsible for constructing, maintaining, diagnosing, and troubleshooting industrial electrical equipment.

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • 5 or more years of commercial or industrial experience and supervisory experience required
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to work with basic power tools
    • Ability to use electrical testing equipment
    • Strong attention to details
    • Ability to perform writing, math, and measuring skills
    • Ability to use a computer/tablet
    • Ability to work independently and with others
    • General mechanical knowledge
    • Proactive individual with exceptional troubleshooting and electrical problem-solving skills

    Responsibilities:

    • Install switchgear and other electrical parts
    • Ability to wire motor starters
    • Ability to program and function test ATS and VFD
    • Ability to determine the ampacity for electrical equipment
    • Recognize and report hazards
    • Operate a forklift as needed
    • Install breakers in panels
    • Test functionality of electrical equipment
    • Perform a variety of industrial electrical skills
    • Use a variety of hand and power tools
    • Report to and interact with Shop Foreman
    • Flexible to work overtime when needed and to be on call
    • Follow guidelines and requirements of the company safety manual and employee handbook
    • Training for Tech ones (as needed)
    • Troubleshoot and make proper repairs
    • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
    • Demonstrate to others TTR, Megger and DLRO equipment testing
    • Ability to test medium voltage equipment
    • Troubleshoot electrical equipment and electrical systems
    • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
    • Other duties assigned as needed
