American Products is hiring a Custodian to support our Facilities Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. This role is essential to maintaining clean, safe, and well‑organized production and common areas.Key Responsibilities
Deep clean restrooms and breakrooms using approved chemicals and equipmentClean plant floors using ride‑on and walk‑behind scrubbers and sweepersEmpty trash throughout the facilityTransport waste and cardboard to compactors using a forkliftRestock supplies, fill dispensers, and disinfect surfacesClean windows, walls, and high‑traffic areasReport facility or safety issues to MaintenanceAssist with larger cleaning projects as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferredJanitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferredAbility to obtain forklift certification within 30 daysStrong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean facilitiesProfessional communication and teamwork skills
Physical & Safety Requirements
Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbsForklift operation required; position is safety sensitiveMust wear required PPE, including steel‑toe boots and safety glasses
