Be the expert our customers count on to keep their cooling systems running at peak performance. In this role, you’ll maintain, diagnose, and repair chillers and supporting equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operation across a variety of industrial settings.

A day in the role

You’ll begin by reviewing service priorities and equipment histories. From there, you’ll perform preventive maintenance on chillers, investigate performance issues with precision instruments, and restore systems to optimal operation—whether that means repairing components or replacing parts.

What you’ll handle

• Deliver scheduled maintenance to keep chiller systems operating effectively.
• Pinpoint and troubleshoot issues on in-service chillers using meters, gauges, and diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace components as needed to return equipment to full function.
• Install, service, and repair industrial refrigeration systems, including refrigerant handling, instrumentation, control valves, motors, motor controls, motor switch gear, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), soft-starts, pumps, exchangers, filters, and refrigeration controllers.
• Follow company and industry safety standards at all times.
• Work overtime as needed—up to 15% annually (no more than 300 hours)—as directed by the client and/or upper management.
• Contribute to additional duties as assigned.

What you bring

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Deep knowledge of chiller equipment and systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Skill using thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret chiller operation and repair manuals.
• Reliability in following instructions and procedures.
• Solid mechanical aptitude.
• Clear, customer-facing communication skills.

Background and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/technical training or completion of an apprenticeship preferred.
• Three years of related experience preferred.

Physical demands and work environment

• Work in outdoor weather conditions as required.
• Periods of prolonged stationary work.
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders when needed.
• Capability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds at a time.
