Industrial Boiler Welder & Field Service Specialist

A day in this role

Start your morning by reviewing the service schedule for watertube, firetube, and auxiliary boiler equipment. Some days you’ll head straight from home to the jobsite; other days you’ll check in with our Fenton, MO office (relocation assistance is available for non-local hires). You’ll lead code and non-code welding work, jump into planned maintenance, and respond to the unexpected—supporting emergency repairs when customers need us most.

Between tasks, you’ll expand your skill set in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and assist with combustion tuning and controls. Safe driving is part of every day, with local travel common and overnight trips expected when projects get complex.

What you’ll do

• Deliver planned and emergency service on watertube, firetube, and related support systems.
• Serve as the lead welder for ASME code and standard (non-code) welds.
• Troubleshoot and maintain boiler mechanical and electrical systems; support combustion tuning and controls.
• Collaborate with teammates and complete additional tasks as needed.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass an ASME-certified 6G weld test.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and basic pipefitting capability.
• Willingness to stay overnight for longer projects and to work weekends/after-hours during emergencies.
• Prior boilermaker experience is strongly preferred.

Travel, physical demands, and environment

• Daily local travel with up to 50% overnight travel.
• Lift and carry 50+ pounds; climb, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
• Work safely in confined and elevated spaces; occasional out-of-town travel.
