Industrial / Automation Estimator

In this role you will be responsible for: Design: Work within SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create 3D/2D models and produce drawings for fabrication and assembly. Design and detail drawings for manufacturabilitywith a focus on sheetmetal fabrication / forming / welding as well as mechanical parts.

We are in search of a Mechanical Design Engineer in Spartanburg, SC.
In this role you will be responsible for:

• Design: Work within SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create 3D/2D models and produce drawings for fabrication and assembly.
• Problem Solving: Provide engineering support for manufacturing and Service to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Continuous improvement: Work with colleagues to identify reoccurring issues and improvement opportunities. Develop and implement solutions.
• Travel: Some customer interface along with installation and startup support required.

 

Experience:

• BSME - 2 or more years in a machine design environment, or similar.
• ASME – 5 or more years in machine design environment, or similar

Education:

• 4-year/bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• or
• A 2-year/associate’s degree in mechanical technology

Skills:

• SolidWorks (Focus in Sheet Metal, Multibody Parts, & Weldments)
• AutoCAD interface with legacy designs
• Pneumatic and hydraulic circuit designs
• Hand calculations and understanding of computer-generated calculations.
• Other software: Microsoft 365 suite, Adobe pdf reader, Visual ERP system.
