Step into a highly automated manufacturing environment
Picture your shift kicking off at 5:45—whether the sun is rising or the night shift is humming. You walk the line, review overnight notes, and open a PLC project to chase down an intermittent I/O fault. Minutes later, you’re tracing ladder logic, checking an encoder input, and confirming a VFD parameter set. By the time you hand off at 6:00, machines are running smoothly and root causes are documented.
Schedule
- 12-hour 2-2-3 rotation
- Days: 5:45 AM–6:00 PM
- Nights: 5:45 PM–6:00 AM
Be prepared to work either days or nights. Final shift assignment occurs after training based on business needs.
What you’ll tackle
- Troubleshoot and modify PLC-controlled production systems with a focus on Allen‑Bradley platforms
- Diagnose PLC logic, I/O, hardware, and communication issues quickly and safely
- Resolve HMI, VFD, sensor, motor, and broader automation equipment faults
- Interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic to guide repairs and improvements
- Perform deep-dive, root-cause analysis on controls/electrical failures
What sets you up for success
Hands-on industrial controls background with real PLC programming and troubleshooting. Experience with Allen‑Bradley is strongly preferred. Familiarity with HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and plant electrical systems is highly valued.
