Description

Job Summary:
  • This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to our policies and procedures.
  • With little to no supervision provide maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of ammonia refrigeration systems, HCFC systems, hot water, compressed air, and steam systems. Performing and consulting on robust preventative maintenance and refrigeration repairs.
  • Must be able to safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment and the ability to effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
Required Skills, Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 months industrial refrigeration experience, graduate of an industrial refrigeration program (I.E. possess a RETA 1 Operator License or Operator 1 License).
  • Must have Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend and stoop.
  • Repetitive gripping, pushing and pulling.
  • Frequent overhead work.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance including Pneumatics, PLC's, Motor controls, and shop equipment operation desired
  • Understanding boiler theory, RETA Operator I, and IIAR Basic NH3 Refrigeration schematics.
  • Must be able to pass a HAZ-Mat physical and pass the training to be certified as an Emergency Responder Technician Level and participate on the Emergency Response Team.
