Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing and financially stable organization seeking an Indirect Tax Analyst to join its corporate tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to expand their expertise across sales & use tax, property tax, and motor fuel tax compliance while working in a highly collaborative environment.

This role offers broad exposure to multi-entity operations, tax research, process improvement initiatives, and interaction with business leaders across the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the preparation, review, and filing of indirect tax returns across multiple jurisdictions, including sales & use tax, property tax, motor fuel tax, and other operating taxes.

  • Partner with business units to resolve tax-related questions, provide guidance on taxability matters, and support ongoing compliance initiatives.

  • Research tax laws, regulations, and legislative changes to ensure compliance and identify potential risks or opportunities.

  • Manage exemption certificate processes, maintain taxability matrices, and support the optimization of tax technology and reporting tools.

  • Coordinate property tax compliance activities, including renditions, filings, payments, budgeting support, and tax appeal documentation.

  • Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries related to indirect tax activities while ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.

  • Assist with audits, examinations, notices, and inquiries from taxing authorities across multiple tax disciplines.

  • Analyze tax processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce overall tax exposure.

  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, operations, and other internal stakeholders to support business objectives and provide exceptional internal client service.

  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the corporate tax function.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or finance.

  • Experience with indirect taxes including sales/use tax, property tax, or motor fuel tax preferred.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and tax compliance requirements.

  • Strong tax research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, results-driven mindset.

  • Oracle Financials experience is a plus.

  • Industry experience within energy, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, or other operationally complex environments is a plus.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
