LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing and financially stable organization seeking an Indirect Tax Analyst to join its corporate tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to expand their expertise across sales & use tax, property tax, and motor fuel tax compliance while working in a highly collaborative environment.
This role offers broad exposure to multi-entity operations, tax research, process improvement initiatives, and interaction with business leaders across the organization.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the preparation, review, and filing of indirect tax returns across multiple jurisdictions, including sales & use tax, property tax, motor fuel tax, and other operating taxes.
Partner with business units to resolve tax-related questions, provide guidance on taxability matters, and support ongoing compliance initiatives.
Research tax laws, regulations, and legislative changes to ensure compliance and identify potential risks or opportunities.
Manage exemption certificate processes, maintain taxability matrices, and support the optimization of tax technology and reporting tools.
Coordinate property tax compliance activities, including renditions, filings, payments, budgeting support, and tax appeal documentation.
Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries related to indirect tax activities while ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
Assist with audits, examinations, notices, and inquiries from taxing authorities across multiple tax disciplines.
Analyze tax processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and reduce overall tax exposure.
Collaborate with accounting, finance, operations, and other internal stakeholders to support business objectives and provide exceptional internal client service.
Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the corporate tax function.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or finance.
Experience with indirect taxes including sales/use tax, property tax, or motor fuel tax preferred.
Knowledge of accounting principles and tax compliance requirements.
Strong tax research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Detail-oriented with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
Oracle Financials experience is a plus.
Industry experience within energy, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, or other operationally complex environments is a plus.
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
