Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Indirect IT Project Manager Buyer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is responsible for leading sourcing, procurement, and supplier management activities for IT hardware, software, and services while driving cost savings and operational efficiency.

Rate Range: $42/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Indirect IT Project Manager Buyer Job Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives for IT hardware, software, and services across the organization.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with suppliers to drive cost savings and maximize business value.

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitor performance against KPIs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement strategies with organizational goals.

  • Analyze spending data, identify cost optimization opportunities, and provide procurement performance reporting to leadership.

  • Support and coordinate procurement activities while contributing to team development, workload management, and cross-functional project execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 0-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Commodity Management, Program Management, Procurement, or IT-related functions.

  • Strong understanding of IT procurement categories, including hardware, software, and IT services, with experience in sourcing and supplier management.

  • Proven skills in contract negotiation, purchasing, stakeholder management, and driving strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings and business value.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $45.00 per hour
