Indirect Category Manager | Indianapolis, IN

This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, drives cost savings initiatives, and partners with stakeholders to ensure reliable, cost-effective services that support business operations. The Procurement Manager - Indirect is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for utility services, facility operations, maintenance, capital projects, and related indirect spend categories.

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for indirect procurement categories.
• Lead supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings and favorable contract terms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and risks.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contract terms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
• Prepare and present procurement reports and recommendations to leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain experience.
• 3+ years managing facilities, utilities, construction, capital projects, or indirect procurement categories.
• Experience negotiating service contracts, maintenance agreements, and utility-related spend.
• Strong understanding of supplier management, contract administration, and strategic sourcing methodologies.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, industrial, healthcare, life sciences, or corporate facilities environments preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or similar are a plus.
