Independent Living Coach

Independent Living Coach position for 34 year old with autism looking to grow his physical, social and emotional skills and live his best life. He is a passionate “go getter” who has sensory integration disorder and moderate autism. 

We are looking for an individual who is a great communicator, has their own transpiration, non-smoker and endless positivity.  Our goal is to help grow life, social and employment skills for an independent joyous life. 

Client lives in his own townhome, near Dunwoody Village and loves working out at Life Time Fitness, swimming, dancing and many activities that MJCCA offers. 

Client is needing help looking for a part-time job and may need you to act as his job coach once he obtained employment.

This is a live in or out full time position and the hours are extremely flexible. 

Job responsibilities

Transporting to and from activities

Assist with résumé building and job interview skills.

If client obtains a part time job, attend as a job coach.

Work on social skills and independent skills

Assistant preparing and shopping for healthy meals

Engaging in meaningful conversation

Attend social events as a light support provider. 

Work on reading and writing 

Helping regulate his sound and light sensitivity

Provide daily written summary reports. 

Start date is negotiable

Hours are flexible

Would be a live in or live out position 

Pay depends on experience.
