SelecSource is hiring an Incoming Inspector to join our Quality Control team!
Position: Incoming Inspector
Department: Quality Control
Location: Lyons, GA
Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:30AM to 4:30PM with occasional Fridays if needed
What You ll Do
- Inspect all incoming cans and ends for defects and document findings.
- Report critical defects to the QC Laboratory Supervisor.
- Provide necessary information for identifying defective pallets.
- Verify incoming labels and report discrepancies.
- Collect samples for laboratory analysis and inspection of held finished goods.
- Collect additional samples as needed for investigation reports.
- Rotate within the Quality Control Department as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company policies, food safety requirements, and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Basic math skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to multitask with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work any shift, including overtime, rotating shifts, and weekends.
Work Environment
This position may involve exposure to:
- Noise
- Wet or slippery surfaces
- Hot cans
- Moving equipment
- Potential slips, falls, and crushing hazards
Required PPE may include: earplugs, bump cap, hairnet, and protective footwear.
