About the Role

Our client in Dallas, TX, is expanding into a brand-new electrical facility and is looking to bring on an experienced In-Process Mechanical Quality Control Technician to join the team. This is a hands-on quality control role working with the mechanical testing & quality of industrial control panels, motor control systems, and Mechanical assemblies before they ship to customers.

If you have a strong industrial mechanical and electrical background and enjoy troubleshooting, testing, and working with control systems, this is a great opportunity to grow with a stable and expanding organization.

  • Monday - Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm + OT

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform mechanical quality control testing on industrial control panels and electrical systems

  • Perform basic mechanical tests and verifications during the in-process review

  • Checking dimensions against schematics and diagrams

  • Checking the torque on bolts and fasteners and mechanical connections using a torque wrench

  • Inspecting doors, panels, brackets, bus supports, and mounting hardware

  • Identifying defects and properly documenting them to the supervisors

  • Ensuring bolts and components are installed in the correct locations and orientations per blueprint specifications

What We're Looking For

  • Strong industrial mechanical background

  • 2-3 years of mechanical testing & QC experience in an industrial setting.

  • Ability to confidently read blueprints and mechanical drawings

  • Experience performing mechanical testing on electrical enclosures

  • Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, torque wrenches, and basic hand/power tools

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
