About the Role:AlwaysNear Home Care LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated In-Home Special Needs Specialist – Autism to join our growing team in Riverdale, GA. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with autism by providing personalized, in-home support in a comfortable and familiar environment. Responsibilities:- Provide direct, in-home care and behavioral support to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Implement individualized care plans and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies tailored to each client's needs
- Assist clients with daily living skills, communication, and social skill development
- Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent and effective support
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed
- Promote client independence, dignity, and quality of life in the home setting
Requirements:- Prior experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental/intellectual disabilities
- Knowledge of ABA techniques, sensory processing, and autism-specific behavioral strategies
- High school diploma or GED required; degree in special education, psychology, or related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and family members
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes in the Riverdale, GA area
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass a background check
