Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced in-home caregiver to assist an elderly client with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, particularly those who are fall risks and require hands-on-assistance with mobility and personal care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including:
- Bathing and personal hygiene
- Dressing and grooming
- Toileting assistance
- Provide constant supervision and fall prevention support; client must be accompanied at all times (e.g. bathroom, kitchen and around the home)
- Assist with safe transfers and ambulation (bed, chair, bathroom, shower etc.)
- Support the client with showering and post-bathing care
- Prepare meals
- Perform light housekeeping (laundry, tidying, dishes, etc. )
- Monitor and report any clinical or behavioral changes to the agency
- Provide transportation to appointments and errands using the caregiver's own vehicle
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a caregiver
- Experience with fall-risk patients and mobility assistance is required.
- Ability to safely assist with transfers and walking support
- Compassionate, patient and attentive demeanor
- Strong communication skills
- Must have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record
- Ability to follow the care plan and report concerns accurately.
- CNA or HHA certification
- CPR certification
Schedule:
Daily 8am-8pm including weekends.
