IMS Technician

Job Description: The IMS Technician will be responsible for assisting the Senior IMS Analyst with day-to-day activities supporting the Newton Cable Plant. 2+ years of experience in an IT support role, including experience supporting hardware and software components.

Duration: 4 months, possibility of extension

Job Description:

• The IMS Technician will be responsible for assisting the Senior IMS Analyst with day-to-day activities supporting the Newton Cable Plant.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Interact with customer to gather and define system/solution requirements
• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of IMS devices, printers, scan guns, servers, etc.
• Review and update document repository in SharePoint for AI enablement
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems that may have a significant impact on the business
• Support IMS projects

Required Education and Experience:

• 2 year degree in computer science or related field
• 2+ years of experience in an IT support role, including experience supporting hardware and software components

Required Skills:

• Understanding of server and network infrastructure
• Microsoft 365 including SharePoint and OneNote
• Cybersecurity mindset
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and management
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
