Job Title: Shipping Coordinator (Import/Export)
Location: Bethlehem, PA, United States
Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Compensation: $23.50/hour

Overview
System One is seeking an Import/Export Shipping Coordinator to support a client of ours in Bethlehem, PA. In this role, you’ll coordinate international import/export shipments, ensure trade compliance, and partner closely with freight forwarders, carriers, internal supply chain teams, and external stakeholders to keep product moving on time and in compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate import and export shipments to/from multiple countries, working with freight forwarders and an import clearing house
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations and company policies
  • Prepare and manage shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, Customs/airline/TSA documents) and maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate trucking pickups from the Bethlehem warehouse to ports/airports; support labeling, inspection, and securing of shipments
  • Track and trace shipments daily; identify issues early and communicate delays/risks to stakeholders
  • Audit import entry filings, resolve discrepancies, request corrections, and support reconciliation/protests when needed
  • Support export requirements including letters of credit (LCs), country-specific documentation/labeling, and customer requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Customer Relations, Transportation, Sales, and other internal groups; support OTIF performance

Qualifications
  • IMDG and IATA certifications (required)
  • 5+ years of experience in import/export compliance, international shipping, freight forwarding, or related logistics
  • Working knowledge of international trade laws, export regulations, documentation/labeling requirements, and sanctions screening
  • Experience working with freight forwarders, ocean carriers, and domestic/international transportation requirements (DOT/IATA/Customs/intermodal)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills; ability to interpret regulations and work with multiple departments
  • Experience with dangerous goods (DG) shipping and document retention expectations (preferred not required)
