Import Coordinator
Janel Group is seeking an Import Coordinator to join our team! If you’re a high-energy, focused freight forwarding professional who wants to continue building your freight-forwarding career with a customer-focused, fast-paced industry leader, we'd love to talk!
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate inbound shipments with overseas agents, carriers, and customers, including domestic operations
Track shipments from departure through final delivery and maintainaccurate records in the internal systems
Proactively resolve logistics and transportation issues with a strong customer-focused approach
Communicate shipment status, updates, delays, and ETAs to customers to ensure full visibility and satisfaction
Create and monitor exception reports in a timely and consistent manner
Collect required documentation, verify charges, and support billing accuracy
Ensure compliance with company procedures and basic import regulations
Creating Customs entries

Qualifications
Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, preferred
2+ years relevant Freight Forwarding, logistics, transportation, or domestic distribution experience, preferred
Microsoft Suite experience, preferred
Cargowise software experience, preferred
