    Description

    Position Summary:

    Import Coordinator Agent - is responsible for multi-task and direct multiple employees. The position may also need to contact customs officials to obtain release of incoming freight and resolve delays. The coordinator will be dealing with DHL systems for entry processing and tracking purposes.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Participate in processing inbound/outbound freight for clearance through US Customs.
    • Provides information to, and communicates with, DHL Origin and destination stations on the status of the shipments being delayed.
    • Monitor day to day operations of the team, prioritize and assign tasks.
    • Ability to multi-task and direct multiple employees.
    • Communicate with customs to ensure compliance

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    Experience:

    • Strong understanding of operations and customs processed.

    Skills:

    • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
    • Must be able to qualify for an airport security badge and/or Customs clearance for DHL facility and pass a drug screen
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Knowledge of ACA, HMS & DCE
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally
    • Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop and climb stairs/ladders
    • Ability to work in all weather conditions
    • Speak, read, and understand English
