Perform installation oversight, configuration, testing, monitoring, servicing of network equipment, and activation of DoD network services/projects in accordance with DISA standards.

Primary Responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/div>
  • Lead and train team on implementation activities and processes
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Execute customer coordination, Initial Test & Acceptance (IT&A), required reporting, and all data entry for new service activations
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Work with customers, solution architects, and vendor SMEs to implement changes and identify/analyze/resolve issues
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Manage Service Orders per Change Management procedures; ensure TSOs are accurate and in place
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Initiate device configurations using configlets
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Analyze DISN and supporting databases to validate/implement customer requirements
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Design/implement solutions to complex problems via testing, documentation, and configuration modifications
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Coordinate/program circuit activations with commercial vendors for end -to -end connectivity
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Monitor networks post -change to confirm traffic behavior and detect customer impact; incorporate lessons learned/customer reporting
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Engage DISA PMs/customers to resolve unclear/incomplete requirements and drive approvals to keep requests moving
    <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Required Qualifications:<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>
    <\/p>


    <\/div>

    • BS + 4–8 yrs relevant experience OR MS + 2–6 yrs relevant experience<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Strong knowledge of network hardware specs, configuration/testing processes, and performance/problem management<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Network architecture/technology evaluation & needs assessment experience<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Experience with data/voice network design over transmission systems, including:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Routing protocols: BGP, ISIS (and OSPF preferred/commonly used)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Switching: trunking, VLANs<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • WAN/circuit configurations (incl. multiplexers), router -to -router connectivity<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Working knowledge of: DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, WAN, VPN, VLAN, VRF<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Familiarity with network appliances: routers, load balancers, DNS servers, firewalls<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Strong communication skills; collaborative, team -oriented, self -driven<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
