Project Manager – Fleet Camera Technology Implementation
Location: Radnor, PA 19087
Pay Rate: $70.00 Per Hour
Duration: 10 Month Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the deployment of a next-generation fleet camera technology platform across the United States and Canada. This initiative involves transitioning from a legacy camera solution to an advanced AI-powered system designed to enhance driver safety by detecting behavioral risks such as fatigue, distracted driving, inattentiveness, and speeding.
This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end implementation, including hardware deployment, vendor coordination, cross-functional stakeholder alignment, change management, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate is a highly organized project leader with experience managing large-scale technology rollouts and a passion for safety-focused initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Deployment Management
- Develop and execute a comprehensive implementation plan in partnership with the camera technology vendor.
- Manage the rollout of camera hardware across fleet operations in the United States and Canada.
- Coordinate installation schedules and deployment activities to minimize operational disruption.
- Prioritize implementation efforts in regions where 50% or more of the fleet currently utilizes legacy SF300 camera systems.
- Track project milestones, timelines, deliverables, and overall deployment progress.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external technology vendors.
- Coordinate with IT Security, Procurement, and Legal teams to ensure timely execution of Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
- Partner with Legal, Labor Relations, and Human Resources to address regulatory and employee-related considerations, particularly within the Canadian market.
- Provide regular project updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Change Management & Organizational Readiness
- Lead change management efforts to drive successful adoption of the new technology platform.
- Develop communication plans that educate and engage drivers, operational leaders, and support teams.
- Create training materials and implementation resources to support the transition through 2026 and 2027.
- Establish new operational procedures, policies, and performance targets for the camera technology program.
Operational & Strategic Program Support
- Support the transition to the 2027 Control Tower (CT) operating model, enabling real-time intervention for safety events and high-risk driving behaviors.
- Coordinate and manage multiple Control Tower-related initiatives.
- Assist in advancing the organization's Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) roadmap, supporting the goal of achieving 100% commercial vehicle installation by 2028.
- Ensure project outcomes align with company safety, compliance, and operational objectives.
Risk Management & Quality Assurance
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and blockers, proactively developing mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor performance.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure deployed solutions meet business and operational requirements.
- Maintain project documentation, status reports, and implementation metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience leading complex technology, hardware, or operational implementations.
- Proven experience managing large-scale deployments across geographically dispersed operations.
- Strong ability to work effectively within cross-functional environments involving Operations, Legal, HR, IT, and external vendors.
- Experience developing project plans, timelines, work breakdown structures, and implementation roadmaps.
- Demonstrated success managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting transportation, logistics, fleet operations, or commercial vehicle technology programs.
- Familiarity with:
- AI Dash Cameras
- Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)
- Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR)
- Fleet telematics and safety management systems
- Experience leading organizational change management initiatives.
- PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or similar project management certification strongly preferred.
