Role Overview
We are seeking an Implementation & Operations Architect to serve as a hands-on technical leader supporting the deployment, integration, and early-stage operations of mission-critical financial platforms.
This is a fully onsite role in Kansas City, where you will act as the primary technical authority during implementation and play a key role in ensuring platform stability, scalability, and performance in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Implementation & Architecture
Lead and support integration of platform solutions with core banking systems and digital channels
Assist with AWS-based deployments, including EKS, RDS, EC2, and environment configuration
Ensure systems meet high standards for availability, performance, security, and resiliency
Integration & API Enablement
Enable and support API-driven integrations between platforms and client systems
Guide engineering teams on API best practices and event-driven architecture patterns
Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless system interoperability
Operational Leadership
Serve as the primary technical escalation point during implementation and early production
Support high-throughput, event-driven systems in a Java-based ecosystem
Drive operational readiness and system reliability in production
Production Support
Provide on-call support post-deployment to maintain system health and uptime
Proactively monitor environments to prevent issues and mitigate risks
Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority incidents (P1s) within defined SLAs
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution
Required Skills & Experience
Experience implementing or supporting core banking, payments, or financial platforms
Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and high-volume transaction systems
Hands-on experience with Java-based applications
Proven expertise with AWS services (EKS, RDS, EC2)
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in high-pressure environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in fintech or regulated financial services environments
Demonstrated success in technical leadership within enterprise-scale systems
Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and cloud-native architectures

Must be authorized to work in the United States
Ability to work onsite full-time in Kansas City, MO
