    About the role
A major financial institution’s Transition and Integration Team is hiring a threat engineer to support release and deployment (new systems for high-profile projects) and lifecycle refresh work (upgrading hardware and software to replace end-of-life or non-permitted technology).

    What you’ll do
    • Own technical planning and logistics so refresh and build commitments land on schedule, with zero impact to the network.
    • Translate business and technology requirements into threat solutions that fit both.
    • Work with engagement teams, management, and clients to deliver those solutions.
    • Run several technical projects at once, independently and as part of a team.
    • Follow project close-out practices: database updates, asset tracking, inventory, records retention.
    • Share knowledge with Design Engineering, Architecture, and Engineering as new technology and processes are adopted.
    • Find ways to improve service delivery, and measure the results over time.
     What you bring
    • 5+ years of engineering experience with threat solutions, including design, low-level engineering, and delivery of new hardware systems.
    • Hands-on experience building, operating, or deploying SkyHigh Secure Web Gateway, F5 SSLO, and Trellix FireEye.
    • Strong attention to detail. You can follow a refined process and still look for ways to improve it.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Availability for night and weekend change windows as needed.

    Nice to have
    • B.S. in computer science, business management, or equivalent
    • DMZ networking and Cisco routing/switching
    • CISSP (ISC2)
    • Banking experience
    • Scripting or programming (sh, Perl, Python, Golang, C, C++)
    • Administrator-level UNIX/Linux
